Automatic payment reminders and late fees

Turn on reminders in Settings → Reminders. By default Quillstack sends a friendly reminder 3 days before the due date, on the due date, and 7 days after it. You can add up to five reminders and edit the text of each one. Reminders stop as soon as the invoice is paid in full.

Late fees can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the outstanding balance. They are added as a separate line item once the invoice is overdue by the number of days you choose (the default is 1). A late fee is applied once per invoice; recurring monthly late fees are not supported.

Open the invoice and switch Reminders off in the right-hand panel. This is useful when you have agreed a payment plan with a client.

The invoice activity log shows every reminder with the time it was sent and whether the client opened it.
